Delete your account and your data

What deletion removes, what to save first, and how it differs from cancelling.

Important

Deleting an account is permanent. Transcripts, summaries, translations and uploaded media go together, and we cannot restore them afterwards.

Before you do it

  1. 1Download anything worth keeping β€” see which download format to pick.
  2. 2Save any invoices you need for accounting. They go too.
  3. 3Cancel your subscription first if you have one, so the billing side is cleanly closed: change your plan, your card, or cancel.

Doing it

The option is in your account settings. If you cannot find it or something goes wrong, contact us from the address on the account and we will handle it.

Cancelling is not deleting

Cancelling a subscription stops the charges and leaves your account and files in place on the Free plan. Deleting removes the account itself. If you only want to stop paying, cancel β€” you can always come back.

To clear out specific recordings without touching the account, delete them individually: storage, deleting and what we keep.
