How do I transcribe audio to text in Google Docs

Open a new Google Docs document or go to an existing one.

In the toolbar, click on Tools and select Voice typing. A microphone icon will appear on the left side of the document.

Ensure your microphone is enabled and working. If prompted, grant permission for Google Docs to access your microphone.

In the voice typing box, select the language you want to use for the transcription.

Begin playing the audio you want to transcribe. As you speak, Google Docs will convert the speech to text and insert it directly into the document.

Use voice commands to add punctuation, such as period, comma, or new paragraph.

Proofread the transcribed text and make any necessary corrections.

The voice typing feature in Google Docs provides a convenient and efficient way to transcribe audio directly into your document. This can be particularly useful for tasks such as transcribing interviews, lectures, or meeting recordings.
